Two individuals were killed and five others were wounded in a shooting at a motorcycle club in Denver early Sunday morning, as per the police. The shooting was connected to a brawl that started inside the Hell’s Lovers Motorcycle Club and escalated outside, resulting in the firing of multiple guns.
The Hell’s Lovers Motorcycle Club is an outlaw biker gang that has been involved in violent clashes with other groups in the past, according to the Denver Post. The club has chapters in several states and is known for its criminal activities, such as drug trafficking and racketeering.
Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen said the shooting was “unacceptable” and “not OK” for the community and the city. He said the police were still investigating the incident and trying to piece together what happened. He said no arrests have been made so far.
Lt. Matt Clark with Denver police told media that one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another later died at the hospital. The five other gunshot victims were “in varying degrees of condition,” 7 News reported.
Clark mentioned a history of crime on that block, including multiple cases of homicide, but he couldn’t provide specific information about the club’s history.
Shareef Aleem lives near where Sunday’s shooting happened. He was sleeping when, he said, he heard a barrage of gunfire.
After confirming the safety of his family, Aleem swiftly took his cell phone, stepped outside, and commenced recording the aftermath.
