Elton John, the legendary singer, is back at home and in good health after falling at his home in Nice, France, on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was treated at a hospital in Monaco for minor injuries and was discharged the next day.
The 76-year-old singer had finished his final tour, Farewell Yellow Brick Road, in July and was relaxing in France with his family. He is expected to resume his musical activities in September, including the release of his new album The Lockdown Sessions.
According to his spokesperson, “Elton John was treated at Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco on Saturday evening after falling at his home in Nice. He was discharged on Sunday morning and is now back at home and in good health.”
A source close to Elton John told MSN that “He’s fine. He’s resting up. It was nothing serious. He just took a tumble.” Another source said that “He’s been enjoying spending time with his family and friends in France. He loves it there. He’s feeling great and looking forward to getting back to work soon.”
Elton John also announced his new album on Twitter, saying “I’m so happy to announce that my new album The Lockdown Sessions will be released on September 22nd. It’s a collection of songs that I recorded with some amazing artists during the pandemic. I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
The Lockdown Sessions will feature collaborations with artists such as Dua Lipa, Stevie Wonder, Lil Nas X, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, and more. It will be Elton John’s 32nd studio album and his first since 2016’s Wonderful Crazy Night.
Elton John’s fans expressed their relief and excitement on social media, wishing him a speedy recovery and praising his new album. One fan wrote “He’s an incredible performer and a legend.
