The skies over Ukraine may soon witness a marked shift in capability and strategy as the first group of Ukrainian pilots has successfully completed rigorous F-16 fighter jet training in the United States. These pilots, having undergone extensive training at the 162nd Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard in Tucson, are now ready to take their expertise back to Europe for further honing of their combat skills.
The Air National Guard’s spokesperson, Erin Hannigan, declined to disclose the number of pilots who graduated, a decision grounded in concerns for their safety.
