Trump is Now Seeking Payment from His Supporters to Act as Their Doormat

    Published on

Former President Donald Trump has introduced a fresh fundraising tactic: turning his supporters into doormats. On a recently launched WinRed page for the Trump campaign, backers of the former president are promised a customized doormat bearing their name if they donate $100 towards his re-election. However, alternative contribution amounts suggested range from $150 to $3,300, the maximum permitted federal campaign contribution limit.

The doormats showcase a Trump 2024 logo and boldly proclaim, “The [X] FAMILY WILL MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

“When I’m not in court for my SHAM BIDEN TRIALS, I’m campaigning across the country for our America First agenda,” stated the solicitation. “And nothing warms my heart like seeing true MAGA Patriots display their 100% AMERICAN MADE 2024 TRUMP DOORMATS; Let EVERYONE KNOW that your family is part of our unstoppable movement to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

The sale of Trump doormats is the latest addition to a string of increasingly unconventional campaign promotions and Trump-branded merchandise being offered as the former president grapples with mounting financial challenges.

Earlier this year, Trump launched a collection of gold-branded high-top sneakers — reportedly despite objections from a strategist who cautioned the former president against it. This move led some right-wing pundits to speculate that Trump could enhance his appeal to Black voters in 2024, ostensibly due to the popularity of sneakers within the Black community.

More recently, Trump has thrown his support behind a special edition of $60 large-print “God Bless the USA” Bibles, which also include America’s founding documents and lyrics from Lee Greenwood’s patriotic anthem. This move sparked criticism from some who deemed the concept sacrilegious.

The allocation of proceeds from these sales remains ambiguous. While the website explicitly states that none of the proceeds go to the Trump campaign, it does not directly address whether the funds can or cannot be used for his legal expenses.
